Kuwait Security Teams Mobilized to Ensure Smooth and Safe Muharram

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 17: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Abdul Wahab Al-Wahib, inspected several Husseiniyas across various areas of Kuwait on Tuesday to review security arrangements and operational readiness ahead of Muharram events.

The Ministry of Interior said the inspection tour was carried out in line with the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef to strengthen the security system and ensure the safety of participants and visitors during the month of Muharram.

During the field tour, Major General Al-Wahib reviewed security deployment plans, crowd management procedures and mechanisms for organizing the movement of visitors in a safe and orderly manner.

He praised the high level of preparedness and security presence demonstrated by ministry personnel, as well as the coordination between various participating authorities involved in securing the events.

Major General Al-Wahib called on Husseiniya officials and organizers to cooperate with security personnel and facilitate their duties, stressing that the presence of security forces is aimed at ensuring public safety and protecting lives and property.

He also urged organizers to immediately contact security authorities whenever assistance is required, emphasizing that the Ministry of Interior will continue increasing its field presence throughout Muharram to maintain security and smooth event operations.

The ministry praised the cooperation of Husseiniya officials and organizing committees in supporting security efforts and contributing to achieving the highest levels of safety for everyone attending the events.
