KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: The Capital Governorate Security Directorate launched a large-scale inspection campaign targeting multiple areas and markets across the governorate, with the participation of regional commanders, departments, and operations units. The campaign aimed to apprehend violators of residency and labor laws.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the operation resulted in the arrest of 269 individuals, including 202 for labor law violations, 29 with expired residency permits, and 25 absconders. Authorities also detained two undocumented workers, four individuals wanted for criminal offenses, four other arrests on separate charges, two cases of begging, and one person without identification documents.
The ministry confirmed that such campaigns will continue across all governorates to curb violations, uphold public security, and ensure strict enforcement of the law.
