Kuwait Security Campaign Nets 46 Residency Violators, 38 Wanted Persons

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 6:  The Capital Governorate Security Directorate, under the Security Directorates Affairs Sector, carried out a large-scale security campaign targeting wanted individuals, residency violators and other offenders as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security deployment and maintain public order.

The campaign included four security checkpoints and resulted in the following:

  • 46 residency law violators arrested
  • 38 individuals wanted on arrest warrants arrested
  • 14 Absconders arrested
  • 4 individuals wanted in criminal cases arrested
  • 3 individuals wanted for civil enforcement arrested
  • 2 without documents or IDs
  • 4 narcotics-related cases seized
  • 2 individuals arrested for possession of liquor
  • 2 individuals arrested for gambling
  • 25 vehicles wanted for judicial impoundment seized
  • 57 abandoned vehicles removed
  • 54 traffic violations issued
  • A shop selling spoiled meat was issued a violation notice and closed in cooperation with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition
  • 2 employees of the shop were referred to a police station for further action

Authorities said the necessary legal and administrative measures were taken against those arrested and the violators, with each case handled according to the relevant jurisdiction.
