Kuwait secures two bronze medals at Qatar International Taekwondo Championship

DOHA, Nov 16( KUNA): Kuwait celebrated two bronze medal wins at the 5th Qatar International Taekwondo Championship, organized by the Qatar Taekwondo, Judo, and Karate Federation, which continues through today.

The first medal was claimed by national team athlete Ghala Al-Assaf in the junior over-59 kg category. The second came at the club level, with Ahmed Al-Mutairi of Al-Nasr Club earning bronze in the junior’s under-57 kg division.

The championship is taking place at Lusail Hall, featuring 1,021 athletes alongside 289 technical and administrative officials, representing 175 clubs and national federations from 48 countries. Competitions are held across four age categories: cadets, juniors, youth, and seniors.
