Al Shaheen and Al Khashti crown the champions, with Al Ghanim, KFA, and club board members in attendance

Kuwait City, May 28: Zain has joined in officially crowning Kuwait SC champions of the Kuwait Premier League (Dawri Zain) for the 2023-2024 season. The champions lifted the top-tier’s trophy after the thrilling match played at Ali Sabah Al Salem Stadium in the season’s closing round.

The champions were crowned by Kuwait Football Association Chairman, Abdullah Al Shaheen, and Zain Kuwait Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer, Waleed Al Khashti. In attendance were Kuwait SC Chairman, Khalid Al Ghanim, club board members, and Zain and KFA officials.

Zain congratulates the players, technical staff, and fans of Kuwait SC for winning the league championship title for the third consecutive year. This victory solidifies Kuwait SC's dominance as the club with the most titles in the Kuwait Premier League's history, boasting a total of 19 titles. The team secured the title in the league’s penultimate round, with the crowning ceremony held during the final round of the Championship Group.

Zain also congratulates Arabi SC and Qadsia SC for securing the second and third places respectively. Additionally, the company extends its thanks to all the teams that competed in Dawri Zain, bringing excitement and joy to thousands of fans throughout the season.

Zain crowned the champions under the umbrella of its strategic partnership with the Kuwait Football Association. The company is the Official Sponsor of the KFA’s competitions throughout the 2022-2026 seasons, including the Kuwait Premier League (Dawri Zain), the Zain First Division League, H.H. the Amir’s Cup, and the KFA Cup (Zain Cup).

Under this partnership, Zain recently sponsored the grand ceremony that accompanied the thrilling final match of the 62nd edition of the Amir Cup, held under the patronage and presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Qadsia SC were crowned champions of the much-cherished cup after defeating Salmiya SC in the exciting final, were over 19,000 spectators cheered on their teams at Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium.

As the Official Sponsor of the KFA’s competitions, Zain offers over KD 60,000 worth of prizes for athletes and fans per season, which is the biggest prize pool ever to be distributed in the Kuwaiti League’s history. By dedicating cash prizes for athletes, the company seeks to encourage players to pursue excellence and elevate the league’s performance.
