KUWAIT CITY, Mar 5: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of what it described as attempts by the Islamic Republic of Iran to target both the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan, calling the move a flagrant violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
In an official statement, Kuwait reaffirmed its full solidarity with Turkey and Azerbaijan, expressing support for all measures the two countries may take to safeguard their sovereignty, security, and stability.
Separately, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also voiced the Kingdom’s strongest condemnation of Iran’s alleged attempts to target the two nations. Saudi Arabia described the actions as “cowardly attempts” and accused Tehran of pursuing a hostile approach that cannot be justified.
The Kingdom further stated that Iran’s repeated actions against countries in the region violate international laws, norms, and principles of good neighborliness, warning that such behavior risks pushing the region toward further escalation.
Meanwhile, Iran’s General Staff of the Armed Forces denied on Thursday that it had launched a drone toward Azerbaijan. The denial comes amid ongoing regional tensions, as Tehran has previously rejected accusations of targeting oil infrastructure and civilian sites during the conflict, despite reported drone and missile strikes hitting such locations.
