KUWAIT CITY, Sept 29: A technical meeting between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait, represented by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, was held on Tuesday. The two sides reviewed the progress of the water interconnection project, which is in the agenda for the technical meeting and visit scheduled for Sept 29- 30. They discussed the technical and operational requirements, and evaluated the control, operation and management systems of the water network of Kuwait.
The agenda of the first day of the meeting included a tour of the control room at the National Water Control Center, in which monitoring, control and operational processes were observed. This visit aimed to expand technical discussions and promote the sharing of expertise and coordination among the parties involved in the project. The meeting is part of the ongoing technical collaboration between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia related to the water interconnection project, while ensuring follow up of technical and operational matters, and setting the stage for the next steps in line with the agreements between the two parties.
