Kuwait rolls out ‘Visit Kuwait’ online portal
Kuwait switches on the “Visit Kuwait” platform to welcome the world.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Baddah Al-Mutairi announced on Saturday the official launch of the “Visit Kuwait” online platform, marking a new milestone in the country’s efforts to strengthen its tourism and cultural sectors.

Al-Mutairi said that the platform, effective November 1, serves as the single national gateway for visitors seeking to obtain tourist visas to Kuwait and to participate in various cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities across the country.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the minister explained that Visit Kuwait offers a smart interactive map, exclusive offers, and tools for planning complete itineraries, in addition to instant notifications in both Arabic and English. These features, he noted, make it a pioneering digital platform that enhances visitor engagement and reflects Kuwait’s rich cultural identity.

He emphasized that the launch of the platform comes as part of the Ministry of Information’s strategic vision to position Kuwait as a leading tourist and cultural destination in the region. The initiative aligns with the objectives of “New Kuwait 2035”, which seeks to diversify national income sources and bolster the economy through innovation and tourism development.

Al-Mutairi added that Visit Kuwait will serve as the official national portal through which local and international companies can obtain the necessary residency and activity licenses to organize a wide range of events—spanning tourism, arts, culture, and entertainment.

He further underlined that the platform is a strategic tool for regulating the events sector and enhancing partnerships between the public and private sectors, in line with the political leadership's aspirations to advance Kuwait’s tourism and entertainment industries.
