KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: The Ministry of Education launched a digital student transfer service on Wednesday, enabling applications through its website and the unified government “Sahel” application.
The initiative, part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to streamline procedures and improve service efficiency, is currently available for students in public and special education schools. Parents can submit transfer requests electronically without visiting school administrations or authorities in person.
The application period runs until February 12 and covers transfers within both public and special education. The Ministry said parents will receive electronic notifications upon submission and completion of the transfer and can track their applications through the transfer status inquiry feature.
Minister of Education Engineer Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabai’s directives guide the service, which aims to ensure transparency and smooth processing. Transfer services for students in religious education, as well as private Arabic and foreign schools, will be added later through the “Sahel” application as part of a phased expansion plan.
The Ministry emphasized its commitment to enhancing digital services to improve institutional performance, strengthen partnerships with parents, and provide an efficient and flexible educational experience.
