LISBON, Nov 8: The Kuwait women’s rhythmic gymnastics national team is taking part in the ongoing “Gym Gym” International Championship in Lisbon, Portugal, which features top talents from around the globe.
The Kuwaiti delegation arrived in the Portuguese capital yesterday and is headed by team administrator Noura Al-Murshid. The team includes four gymnasts — Sarah Al-Bannai, Raya Al-Qassar, Nabila Al-Kharafi, and Talia Behbehani — supported by coaches Laura Traets from Bulgaria and Viktoria Vasyuk from Ukraine.
The participation of “Al-Azraq Rhythmic Gymnastics” reflects the Kuwait Gymnastics Federation’s commitment to giving athletes exposure to high-level international competition, helping them develop their skills through interaction with advanced global training programs.
Kuwait’s presence at this event also highlights the growing stature of rhythmic gymnastics in the country, which has increasingly demonstrated the ability to compete and achieve strong results on the international stage, thanks to sustained support and developmental initiatives by the federation.
The Kuwait Gymnastics Federation expressed its best wishes to the national team, expressing confidence that the gymnasts will deliver an outstanding performance that honors Kuwait and showcases the sport’s progress at home.
