TBILISI, Aug 11: The Kuwait women’s rhythmic gymnastics national team has arrived in Georgia to begin an overseas training camp running from Aug. 9 to 28, as part of its preparations for upcoming competitions, foremost among them the West Asia Championship in Jordan.
The delegation features gymnasts Layan Hadi, Raya Al-Qassar, Fawzia Al-Abdulkarim and Sarah Al-Bannai, under the guidance of Ukrainian coach Victoria Visbok.
The camp forms part of the Kuwait Gymnastics Federation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the team’s technical and physical readiness ahead of the upcoming season. The intensive program is designed to improve the gymnasts’ technical skills and overall performance while preparing them for the demands of international competition.
The West Asia Championship represents a key target for the national team, with the federation aiming for strong performances and top finishes as it seeks to build on the progress made by Kuwaiti rhythmic gymnastics in recent years.
The federation expressed confidence in the gymnasts’ abilities, highlighting their commitment and discipline in training. It also stressed the importance of maximizing the benefits of the camp, particularly as the athletes continue to build on their experience from previous competitions, where they produced encouraging performances.
