KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: The Supreme Committee for Kuwaiti Nationality held its regular meeting on Thursday, January 8, 2026, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Sheikh Fahd Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who also serves as Chairman of the Committee.

During the meeting, the Committee reviewed a number of cases related to Kuwaiti nationality in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. Following deliberations, the Committee resolved to withdraw and revoke Kuwaiti nationality in several cases, in preparation for submitting its recommendations to the Council of Ministers for final approval.

The decisions were taken in the following instances:

  • Loss of Kuwaiti nationality due to dual citizenship, in violation of the legal provisions governing nationality.
  • Withdrawal of Kuwaiti nationality certificates in cases involving fraud, false statements, or forgery discovered during the verification and review process.

The Committee reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the law, safeguarding the integrity of Kuwaiti nationality, and ensuring that all procedures are carried out in full compliance with legal and administrative standards.
