KUWAIT CITY, May 13: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health announced that Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Abdul Wahab Al-Awadhi has issued ministerial decisions revoking the licenses of two private pharmacies and suspending a third for six months due to legal and regulatory violations. The Ministry said the two pharmacies violated Ministerial Resolution No. 237 of 2025 concerning licensing regulations and exploited their licenses without operating for more than six months without prior approval.
Meanwhile, the third pharmacy was ordered to temporarily close after authorities found it had sold medicines without prescriptions and detected discrepancies between medicine records and actual stock. The Ministry affirmed that inspection and monitoring campaigns will continue, stressing that legal action will be taken against violators to protect public health and ensure the safe distribution of medicines.
