KUWAIT CITY, Dec 7: Three decrees and a cabinet resolution withdrawing Kuwaiti citizenship from a total of 24 individuals, as well as from those who acquired citizenship through them, were published today in the Official Gazette Kuwait Alyoum.
- Decree No. 227 of 2025 ordered the withdrawal of citizenship from one individual and from anyone who had acquired it in association with them.
- Decree No. 228 of 2025 called for citizenship to be revoked from three individuals.
- Decree No. 229 of 2025 mandated the withdrawal of citizenship from 14 individuals.
- Cabinet Resolution No. 1586 of 2025 stipulated the revocation of citizenship from six individuals and from those who had acquired it through association with them.
The individual affected by Decree No. 227/2025 is a prominent Islamic preacher
