Kuwait Reviews Airport Situation, Expands Aviation Talks with EU

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 15: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation took part in a high-level meeting with ambassadors of European Union countries accredited to Kuwait, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kuwait.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, and focused on key developments in Kuwait’s aviation sector. Discussions included the current situation at Kuwait International Airport following recent regional tensions, as well as efforts to support airlines and enhance the country’s position as a regional air transport hub.

Participants also reviewed challenges and opportunities in the sector and explored ways to strengthen cooperation with European Union countries to advance aviation development and mutual interests.

At the conclusion, Sheikh Hamoud Al-Sabah expressed appreciation to the Foreign Ministry and Sadiq Marafi for organizing the meeting, highlighting the importance of such engagements in promoting international collaboration and knowledge exchange in civil aviation.
