KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: The head of the Government Communication Center and the official spokesman for the government, Tariq Al-Muzram,stated that the Council of Ministers is currently holding an extraordinary meeting to follow up and implement decisions on steps to normalcy.
The Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah announced the return to normal life with caution as Kuwait entered into the fifth phase of the gradual return plan and the abolition of precautionary measures for restaurants.
The Council of Ministers decided during its meeting assigned the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs to take measures to ensure the worshipers who pray at the mosques are vaccinated, wear a face mask and bring their own prayer carpets from Friday.
The decision to wear a face mask is not a must in open areas but a must in closed places. It is not a must to wear a mask in restaurants and cafes.
For weddings and social events allowed for vaccinated and wearing a face mask is a must from Sunday.
Council decided to assign the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to implement the third phase of the plan to operate Kuwait International Airport to its full capacity from Sunday.
The Cabinet instructed the Ministry of Interior and the Public Authority for Manpower to restart all kinds of visas to Kuwait for those who are vaccinated according to the rules and regulations as in operation before the pandemic crisis as per the Cabinet Resolution No. (971) issued on 18/08/2021 adhering to rules for incoming travelers to the State of Kuwait.
