Kuwait Restores 3 Power Transmission Lines Damaged by Falling Debris

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 14: Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has successfully restored three overhead power transmission lines that were damaged earlier this week after falling debris struck infrastructure in several parts of the country.

Ministry spokesperson Engineer Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat said the affected lines were brought back into service by the ministry’s technical teams following intensive repair work after the incident on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Hayat noted that efforts are continuing to repair the remaining damaged lines, with work being carried out in coordination with state security authorities to secure external sites and ensure the safety of ministry personnel.

She stressed that the repairs were conducted in line with the highest technical and safety standards, affirming the stability of the national electrical grid and the readiness of technical teams to respond to any emergencies.

The spokesperson also praised the efforts of engineers, technicians and workers who operated around the clock to restore the three transmission lines efficiently.
