KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13, (Agencies): In a significant development, the number of residency law violators has decreased by around 30,000 expatriates, according to a reliable security source. The latest statistics from the Residency Affairs Department indicate that the current count of violators stands at 121,174.

The source affirms that the concerted efforts of the Ministry of Interior, in alignment with directives from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, have contributed to reducing the number of violators to this level.

Previously, the violator count exceeded 150,000 a few months ago. The source emphasizes that addressing such a large number requires sustained efforts over several years. Allowing violators a grace period to rectify their status, coupled with the ministry’s continuous crackdown, is expected to further reduce the count to below 100,000 violators.
