Kuwait Residency Affairs Bans Direct Acceptance of Court Documents Related to Residency Disputes

KUWAIT CITY, April 16: The Director General of the General Department of Residency Affairs, Brigadier General Mazid Al-Mutairi, has issued an administrative circular instructing staff not to accept official documents or court judgments issued by the Enforcement of Judgments Department at the Ministry of Justice in cases related to residency disputes filed against the Ministry of Interior.

The circular states that the move aims to ensure smoother administrative operations and safeguard the integrity of legal procedures. It directs applicants to first approach the General Department of Legal Affairs, followed by the Central Department of Residency Systems and Entry and Exit Procedures, which are the authorized bodies to review and assess such judgments. Staff have been instructed to strictly comply with the new guidelines to ensure proper handling of related cases.
