KUWAIT CITY, Mar 13: The Kuwait Ministry of Interior said it has detected several individuals using drones for aerial photography in violation of previously announced regulations.
Speaking during a media briefing on current developments, ministry spokesperson Nasser Bouslaib said the use of drones for filming without authorization undermines the efforts of security and military agencies.
Bouslaib warned that those found violating the rules will be apprehended, legal measures will be taken against them and they will be referred to the competent authorities.
He added that Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams dealt with 16 reports of falling shrapnel resulting from defensive interception operations during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of reports since the beginning of the aggression to 372.
According to the ministry, warning sirens were activated once during the past 24 hours, raising the total number of activations since the start of the crisis to 88.
Bouslaib also reviewed several reports concerning falling debris or objects outside the designated threat areas.
He reaffirmed the authorities’ commitment to safeguarding the country and its people under the leadership of Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Crown Prince Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
