Kuwait Replaces All Expat Expert Positions as Justice Ministry Completes 100% Kuwaitization

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: The Ministry of Justice has completed the full Kuwaitization of the General Department of Experts, achieving a rate of 100 percent as of Monday, as part of a comprehensive development plan for the department.

Acting Head of the General Department of Experts Dr. Fawaz Boudi told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Kuwaitization process covers all expert positions, including engineering experts, accountants and legal researchers.

Boudi said the move strengthens reliance on national competencies in carrying out the department’s responsibilities and represents the first phase of the development plan launched by Minister of Justice Counselor Nasser Al-Sumait in May.

He explained that the next phase will focus on improving work efficiency through a more balanced distribution of tasks among experts, introducing periodic rotations, enhancing performance levels, improving the quality of technical reports and speeding up their completion.

The upcoming phase will also include completing the electronic transformation of the department’s services to improve operational efficiency.

Minister Al-Sumait had announced on May 9 the launch of a comprehensive plan to modernize the General Department of Experts, with the complete Kuwaitization of the department’s expert positions scheduled to begin in early August through the termination of the services of non-Kuwaiti employees working as engineering experts, accountants and legal researchers.
