KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior released 94 inmates on Monday, October 19, 2026, under the Amiri pardon granted by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The release was carried out by the Special Security and Correctional Institutions Sector as part of the Rehabilitation Program for Repentant Offenders, in implementation of the Amir’s directives.

The ministry said the Amiri pardon reflects the Amir’s paternal care and keenness to give those covered by the pardon a fresh opportunity to reunite with their families, reintegrate into society and become productive members of the community.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to rehabilitation and reform programs designed to correct inmates’ behavior, strengthen positive values and prepare them for successful reintegration into society.

These initiatives aim to promote family and social stability while helping released inmates make a positive contribution to the community.
