KUWAIT CITY, June 13: The Ministry of Interior has denied reports circulating on social media claiming the arrest of former Member of Parliament Saleh Ashour and one of his brothers, describing the claims as false and baseless.
In an official statement, the Ministry said there is no truth to the rumours being shared on some online platforms regarding any security action involving the former MP or his family members. It emphasized that such information did not originate from any official or authorized source.
The Ministry of Interior urged the public to rely only on verified and official channels for news and information, warning against the spread or reposting of unconfirmed reports that could mislead public opinion or cause unnecessary confusion.
It also called on social media users to exercise responsibility and accuracy when sharing content, stressing the importance of verifying information before publishing or circulating it.
The Ministry reaffirmed that official updates are issued exclusively through accredited communication channels, including its official platforms, and that no arrests of the individuals mentioned have taken place.
