AMMAN, Sep 11: Kuwait Ambassador to Jordan Aziz Al-Daihani said Sunday the Jordanian authorities decided to extend the permits for vehicles, carrying Kuwaiti license plates, to say in Jordan from eight to 18 months. In a statements to KUNA, Al- Daihani said that the Embassy in Jordan has been in contact with Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to convey the pleas of citizens residing in Jordan in order to prolong their vehicles legal stay limit. He noted that he was very keen on conveying this issue to the concerned authorities to help ease the process on citizens of the GCC.

Under the frameworks of the UN, in 1956 an official document to implement the CPD platform was issued to temporarily import private and commercial road vehicles across borders, providing security for payment of customs duties and import taxes should the vehicle not be re-exported, while also requiring the compliment of laws and regulations of that country under conditions of temporary importations.
