Kuwait Red Crescent Society is ready to respond to emergencies amid regional developments.

KUWAIT CITY, June 17: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has reaffirmed its preparedness to handle emergencies in light of ongoing regional developments. Ambassador Khaled Al-Mughamis, Chairman of the KRCS, emphasized that the society remains committed to its national and humanitarian responsibilities, working closely with state institutions to support Kuwait’s efforts in enhancing readiness for any potential crisis.

Al-Mughamis told KUNA that the KRCS is an essential part of the country’s national response system, prioritizing the welfare of the nation and its citizens. He highlighted the society’s approach of teamwork and cooperation alongside government bodies to ensure efficient emergency response.

As part of its preparedness measures, the society is implementing a comprehensive plan that includes boosting the readiness of rapid intervention teams composed of volunteers and trained staff. Warehouses have been stocked with necessary relief materials and emergency medical supplies to facilitate swift action when needed.

In addition, the KRCS is conducting specialized training programs focused on first aid, disaster management, and international humanitarian law to strengthen the skills of volunteers and field workers. The society also maintains close cooperation with the Civil Defense to ensure coordinated efforts during emergencies.

Al-Mughamis called on the community to remain supportive and prepared, stressing the importance of being ready to respond promptly to humanitarian needs whenever called upon.
