Kuwait Red Crescent Society provides aid to southern Lebanon amid ongoing military confrontations.

LEBANON, April 13: In response to the enduring military confrontations in southern Lebanon initiated by Israeli aggressors since October 2023, the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has stepped in to offer critical relief aid to affected residents.

Youssef Boutros, aid coordinator for the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC), revealed to KUNA that despite the persisting challenges of the conflict, the KRCS has remained steadfast in its commitment to providing aid to those in need. The relief efforts, delivered on Saturday, encompassed essential supplies such as foodstuff and necessities, benefiting approximately 2,500 families in the region.

Boutros emphasized the profound impact of the Israeli military aggression on the livelihoods of southern Lebanon's residents, particularly those reliant on farming. He underscored that the farmlands, essential for sustenance and economic stability, have suffered heavy damage due to the ongoing hostilities.

The delivery of aid by the KRCS serves as a beacon of hope for the affected communities in southern Lebanon, offering vital support amidst the challenges posed by the prolonged military confrontations.
