Kuwait Records 746 Violations in Weeklong Traffic Campaigns

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 24: Kuwait's Traffic Department continued its security and traffic efforts across various governorates from June 14 to 20, 2026, carrying out intensive field campaigns aimed at enhancing public safety, enforcing traffic discipline and responding promptly to reports and violations.

The campaigns resulted in 746 traffic violations being recorded, the arrest of 15 wanted individuals and the provision of 771 humanitarian services.

Authorities also apprehended six individuals for violating residency laws, seized 10 wanted vehicles and detained three people without official identification.

In addition, eight suspects were arrested and referred to the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics, while one person was detained after being found in an unnatural state.

The department also impounded five vehicles for traffic violations, handled 126 traffic accident reports and carried out 1,402 security missions during the same period.

The General Directorate of Traffic Police affirmed that its field campaigns and round-the-clock efforts will continue to safeguard the security and safety of citizens and residents, while strengthening traffic discipline across the country.
