KUWAIT CITY, Aug 8: Kuwait’s Ministry of Justice completed 400,519 enforcement procedures during June, reflecting the continued pace of work in implementing court judgments and processing judicial transactions, according to statistics from the Department of Statistics and Research.

The highest number of procedures involved executive seizure reports concerning funds or assets held by third parties on behalf of debtors, totaling 83,380, followed by 39,377 reports for lifting seizures and 5,826 proof-of-status reports. Authorities also processed 4,983 requests to lift seizures, 4,481 requests to lift executive seizure orders on vehicles, 4,357 travel-ban requests and 2,645 requests to arrest and bring in debtors.

At the governorate level, Capital Governorate recorded the highest number with 120,778 procedures, followed by Ahmadi with 75,634, Hawalli with 67,452, Farwaniya with 56,736, Jahra with 48,744 and Mubarak Al-Kabeer with 29,860. A further 1,315 procedures were completed at ports, Sulaibiya and the Lawyers Association.

The Travel Ban Department alone completed 5,855 procedures during the month. Collection forms and receipts totaled KD 888,700, comprising KD 447,753 in collection forms and KD 440,947 in receipts.
