KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15, (Agencies): The football body of Kuwait has affirmed. that the nation is ready to host the 26th edition of the Gulf Cup in December this year, considering it a significant gathering of Gulf Arab nations. Dismissing rumors circulating on social media about Kuwait’s potential withdrawal as the tournament host, the local football federation emphasized the country’s capability and readiness to organize such a major event. The federation underscored the importance of trusting news sources in delivering accurate information to readers.

Meanwhile, The Kuwaiti Olympic team is set to engage in friendly matches against their Thailand in Bangkok at 11 am. This series of matches is integral to the team’s training camp in preparation for the upcoming AFC U-23 Cup, slated to take place in Qatar from April to May.
Part of Group D in the Asian Cup, the Olympic team faced formidable opponents such as Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
Commencing their camp last Tuesday, Kuwait underwent rigorous training sessions led by Portuguese coach Emilio Peixe and his assistant staff. The coaching team meticulously selected 23 players to participate in the training camp and forthcoming competitions.
