KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: Kuwait’s men’s national padel team has advanced to the semifinals of the Asia-Africa World Cup qualifiers, being held in Kuwait from October 26 to 30, with 14 men’s teams and 13 women’s teams participating.

The host secured its place in the last four after defeating Saudi Arabia and will face Egypt for a place in the final.

Kuwait, whose squad comprises eight players, made an impressive start to the competition, beating Hong Kong 3-0 before recording an identical victory over Pakistan without dropping a set.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s women’s team, also featuring eight players, delivered a strong performance, reflecting the continued growth of women’s padel in the country.

The progress of both national teams highlights the Kuwait Padel Federation’s efforts to prepare players for competition at continental and international levels.
