KUWAIT CITY, July 27: The General Traffic Department, represented by the Highways Department, carried out a field campaign on Saturday targeting speeding violations using mobile radar units across several highways in various governorates.
The campaign, aimed at enhancing road safety and enforcing speed limits, resulted in the issuance of 118 traffic citations for various violations. Authorities also arrested three individuals wanted in connection with previous offenses, seized a vehicle listed as wanted, and impounded another for traffic-related infractions.
In addition, one person was referred to precautionary detention during the campaign.
The General Traffic Department affirmed that such field operations will continue to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians, and to curb dangerous driving behaviors, particularly excessive speeding on major roads.
