KUWAIT CITY, Jun 3:  Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has called on the public to donate blood to support the country’s strategic blood stock and strengthen health preparedness, announcing that the Central Blood Bank and several affiliated donation centers are continuing to receive donors across the country.

In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry said the Central Blood Bank in Jabriya and the Cooperative Blood Transfusion Center next to Al-Adan Hospital are operating extended donation hours throughout the week. Additional donation services are available at the Sheikha Salwa Al-Sabah Center near the Maternity Hospital, as well as branches at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital and the New Jahra Hospital. The ministry also noted that the donation center at Hamad Al-Humaidhi and Sheikha Al-Sudairawi Medical Center in Shuwaikh Residential remains open on weekday mornings.

The appeal comes as health authorities continue efforts to maintain adequate blood supplies and ensure readiness to meet medical needs under current circumstances.
