KUWAIT CITY, Aug. 6: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN), in cooperation with the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Criminal Investigation Department, has uncovered an unlicensed food factory operating inside a private residence in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.

The inspection team from the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Inspection Department found that the residence was being used for preparing, distributing and selling sweets and pastries without the required approvals and licenses.

The operation resulted in the issuance of 26 violation reports and the destruction of approximately 30 kilograms of food items deemed unfit for human consumption. Authorities also seized adulterated and unidentified-source food materials.

In addition, 11 workers involved in food trading activities without valid health certificates were identified, along with violations related to health standards and general hygiene requirements.

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition confirmed that regulatory inspection campaigns will continue across Kuwait and that legal action will be taken against violators to protect public health and ensure food safety.
