Kuwait quashes rumors on family visa ‘amnesty’

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27: The Ministry of Interior has clarified that it did not issue any decision or circular allowing family visa violators, as per Article 22 of the residency law, to amend their status, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In a statement posted on its official X account, the ministry confirmed that reports circulating in some media outlets and on social media regarding this matter are completely false. It emphasized that any decisions or circulars related to the Ministry of Interior are announced solely through official channels. It urged everyone to be accurate when publishing and sharing news and to rely only on statements issued by the ministry through its official platforms.
