Players celebrate after qualifying for the Arab Cup.

DOHA, Nov 25, (KUNA): Kuwait sealed its place in the Arab Cup Qatar 2025 finals after defeating Mauritania 2–0. Al-Azraq wrapped up the first half with a comfortable lead thanks to a brace from Mohammed Daham, who struck in the 7th and 23rd minutes.

Mauritania pushed hard in the second half in search of a comeback, but their attempts fell short. The only time they found the net, the goal was ruled out for offside.

The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 kicks off on December 1 in Doha, featuring 16 national teams competing across six stadiums: Al Bayt, Lusail, Khalifa International, Ahmad bin Ali, Stadium 974, and Education City.

According to the draw held last May, Kuwait joins Group C alongside Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE.

Al Bayt Stadium will host the opening match, while Lusail Stadium will stage the final on December 18.
