Kuwait Police Sports Federation: Returning back in sports competitions

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Police Sports Union, Major General Walid Al-Saleh, said that the union decided to return soon to sports competitions for all sectors of the Ministry of Interior with the start of the fifth phase of the cabinet plan to return to normal life in the country after stopping it with the spread Pandemic (Corona).

Al-Saleh added in a press statement today, Saturday, that this decision came after the first meeting of the federation after the issuance of a decision to finally reconfigure it, explaining that this return will be in accordance with the requirements approved by the health authorities in the country for the return of sports activities.

He stated that the federation approved the formation of team managers for sports for the new season (2020/2021) and assigned them to prepare a complete concept and a comprehensive plan for the new season with the aim of developing their games to ensure distinguished achievements in the upcoming regional and international police tournaments.

He indicated that the council was briefed on the latest developments in the readiness of the new headquarters of the federation in the Ardiya area, as well as on the new union building for shooting and equestrian sports in the Subhan area, pointing out that the union will work to provide good preparation for the police sports teams in all games in preparation for the upcoming foreign championships.

Al-Saleh extended his sincere thanks to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh and the Undersecretary of the Interior, Lieutenant General Essam Al-Naham, for the confidence they placed in the Board of Directors, stressing that the Council will work to raise the level of police sports in the Ministry.

The federation includes in its formation Imad Behbehani as Vice President, Brigadier Hamad Al-Munifi as Secretary of the Secret, Colonel Abdullah Al-Hamar as Trustee of the Fund, in addition to five members: Colonel Bahri Khaled Al-Najjar, Lawyer Colonel Salah Al-Shatti, Colonel Tariq Al-Sudani, Lawyer Colonel Hamad Al-Howishel and Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Razzaq Al-Yaqout.
