KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: Hawally Governorate security personnel arrested an Indian national after finding 52 sachets containing methamphetamine in his possession and at his residence, according to the Ministry of Interior.

The arrest took place during a security patrol in the Mishref area, where officers spotted the man among trees. When they approached him, he allegedly threw away a transparent bag containing methamphetamine.

Officers detained and searched him as a precautionary measure, finding nine additional bags containing the same substance.

During questioning, the suspect reportedly confessed that he had another quantity of methamphetamine at his residence in Jabriya. He allegedly told investigators that he delivered drugs to customers by burying them in the ground and sending them the locations by telephone.

Police seized the remaining quantity from the residence, bringing the total to 52 sachets containing methamphetamine.

The suspect and the seized substances were referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal action, the ministry said.
