KUWAIT CITY, Apr 15: Kuwait’s General Traffic Department has arrested 52 residency law violators during the past 24 hours as part of intensive nationwide security campaigns, a security source told Al-Seyassah / Arab Times.
The source said several of those apprehended were already wanted in arrest and absence cases, adding that all necessary legal procedures were taken before referring them to the competent authorities. The operations were carried out through coordinated field patrols deployed across various governorates, with ongoing daily campaigns aimed at apprehending violators and maintaining law enforcement.
In a separate drive, traffic patrols stationed in front of hospitals across the country issued 110 traffic violations within the same 24-hour period. Offenses included illegal parking and obstruction of traffic flow.
Authorities said the hospital-area campaigns are part of continuous efforts to improve traffic discipline and ensure smooth movement near vital healthcare facilities.
