Kuwait PM Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Pushes for Faster Implementation of Kuwait Airport T2

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 25: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Tuesday conducted an inspection tour of the new Kuwait International Airport Terminal 2 (T2) project, accompanied by several ministers, during a Cabinet meeting held at the terminal.

During the tour, the Prime Minister received detailed briefings from the Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Minister of Public Works Dr Noura Mohammed Al-Mishaan, DGCA Chairman Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and project managers on the latest developments and progress of the major project. The briefings covered its three main packages, including construction and maintenance of the passenger terminal, service buildings, access roads and parking facilities, as well as aircraft parking areas, taxiways and related service buildings.

The Prime Minister emphasized that T2 is one of Kuwait’s major development projects and stressed the need for close coordination among all government entities and the Ministry of Public Works to remove obstacles, accelerate implementation and ensure the project remains on schedule. He said the terminal represents a qualitative leap in Kuwait’s air transport sector.

The Prime Minister also expressed appreciation to the ministers, DGCA officials and all government bodies involved in the project, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Finance, State Audit Bureau, Fatwa and Legislation Department and Central Agency for Public Tenders, for their efforts to expedite its implementation.
