Kuwait PM Inspects Airport After Fuel Tank Fire Brought Under Control

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 27: His Highness the Prime Minister, Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, conducted an inspection visit to Kuwait International Airport on Friday following the successful containment of a fire that broke out in fuel tanks due to what officials described as hostile aggression.

During the visit, accompanied by senior officials including Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah and Talal Mohammed Al-Roumi, the Prime Minister reviewed emergency response measures and coordination efforts that led to bringing the fire fully under control.

He also toured the affected fuel tank area to assess the extent of the damage, which authorities confirmed was limited to material losses with no reported injuries. Officials briefed him on safety and security protocols implemented during the incident.

The Prime Minister conveyed greetings from Kuwait’s leadership, including Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and praised the swift response and dedication of national teams involved in extinguishing the fire, commending their efforts during the ongoing exceptional circumstances.
