Kuwait PM conducts inspection tour of Subiya power and water distillation station

KUWAIT CITY, March 16: His Highness Prime Minister Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah conducted an inspection visit on Monday to Subiya Power and Water Distillation Station accompanied by Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Subaih Al Mukhaizeem and Undersecretary Adel Al-Zamel. During the visit, His Highness was briefed by officials on the operation mechanisms of power generation units at the station’s main building and the approved plans to ensure continued electricity production to meet the country’s needs and maintain service stability.

He also reviewed the fuel storage area that sustained limited damage following a hostile targeting, as officials explained that maintenance work and spare parts provision had begun in preparation for resuming operations. His Highness also visited the station’s emergency shelter and was briefed on operational procedures during emergencies, safety systems and logistical readiness, while expressing appreciation to national staff for their dedication in ensuring the sustainability of essential services.(KUNA)
