His Highness the Prime Minister chairs a meeting regarding the observations and requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF)

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 18: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Wednesday chaired a meeting at Bayan Palace to review remarks and requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordinate action plans among state bodies, reflecting Kuwait’s high level of national commitment in handling this file as a strategic priority. It underscored the State of Kuwait’s keenness to meet international standards and complete all requirements within the specified timeframe, in line with its commitment to combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism. The meeting was attended by Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Sumait, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeem, Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Boodai, Minister of Finance Yaqoub Al-Rifai, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Acting Head of the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikh Khaled Mohammed Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Head of the Fatwa and Legislation Department Salah Al-Majed, Chairman of the Kuwait Financial Intelligence Unit Dr. Hamad Al-Mukrad, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Marwa Al-Juaidan, and senior officials from the Ministry of Interior and the General Administration of Customs.(KUNA)
