KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has firmly denied recent online reports claiming that a court has ruled against some of its current employees for facilitating the embezzlement of public funds through fake work orders. In an official press release, KPC clarified that the circulated news is entirely false and misleading.

The corporation explained that the incident in question involved former employees of one of its subsidiaries. These individuals were dismissed from their positions in 2020 following an internal investigation that uncovered their misconduct. The subsidiary had subsequently filed a formal complaint with the Public Prosecution, underscoring KPC's commitment to safeguarding public funds and protecting its institutional integrity. KPC emphasized that the individuals mentioned in the reports have had no affiliation with the corporation since their dismissal and reiterated that none of its current employees are involved in the case. The corporation assured the public that all legal and administrative procedures were handled under proper legal frameworks.

The statement urged media outlets and the public to verify information before publishing or sharing it and to rely solely on official sources for news related to KPC. The corporation reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the highest standards of legal oversight, as well as administrative and financial auditing, across all operations and subsidiaries to ensure transparency, accountability, and the protection of public funds.
