Planting plants in the Kuwaiti pavilion at Expo Doha.

KUWAIT CITY, March 28: Kuwait's participation at the Doha Horticultural Expo 2023 garnered acclaim as the pavilion clinched the coveted "Most Educational" award on Wednesday. Launched last October, the exhibition showcased innovative approaches to modern agriculture, technology, and environmental sustainability.

In an interview with KUNA, Eng. Samira Al-Kandari, Acting Director General of the Environment Public Authority and Acting Commissioner General of the Kuwait Pavilion, expressed her delight at the recognition. She emphasized the pivotal role of the Kuwait Pavilion in promoting environmental awareness through a myriad of educational programs, lectures, and events.

Al-Kandari highlighted the success of the pavilion in attracting numerous visitors, including specialists and environmental enthusiasts, who engaged with lectures aimed at fostering environmental consciousness. She extended gratitude to the exhibition organizers and the dedicated staff who contributed to the pavilion's success during the six-month exhibition period.

Comprising interactive zones, a cylindrical museum, and a Kuwait Oasis, the Kuwaiti pavilion offered a diverse range of experiences, including a dedicated children's area. The exhibition focused on contemporary agricultural techniques, technological innovations, and environmental sustainability, while also advocating for solutions to combat desertification.

Under the theme "Green Desert, Better Environment," the Doha Horticultural Expo 2023 commenced on October 2nd and concluded today, Thursday, highlighting groundbreaking initiatives and sustainable practices.
