CAIRO, Oct 4: The Rabab Championship for purebred Arabian horses is set to kick off its annual edition at the Rabab Equestrian Center from October 9 to 11, with Kuwaiti riders among the participants. The event features a variety of competitions, including children’s contests and team events, with 182 horses representing Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

Owned by Sheikh Khalid Bin Laden, the Rabab Equestrian Center is renowned for its extensive facilities, top-quality horses, and skilled riders. The center hosts all major equestrian tournaments and includes Egypt’s largest arena, fully equipped for rider training. Riders from Rabab have consistently achieved top rankings in national and international competitions.

Horses as young as six months can participate in three age categories for both males and females. The final day will showcase competitions for juniors and children, with awards presented for the best horse and best breeder.

Organized under the supervision of the European Organization for the Beauty of Arabian Horses (ECAHO), the championship will begin at 4:30 PM with the first group of mares born in 2024–2025 competing in the agility category.
