KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3, (KUNA): Kuwait has joined the 7th Arab Women Sports Tournament, commencing in Sharjah on Wednesday. The event boasts a diverse participation of over 550 players, representing 63 teams hailing from 15 countries. Kuwait's presence is marked by three national clubs: Salwa Club, Al-Fatat Club, and Kuwait Shooting Club, according to Fatma Hayat, the head of the delegation and a member of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, as reported to KUNA.

The Kuwaiti clubs are set to engage in seven competitions throughout the tournament, extending until February 12. These competitions encompass volleyball, basketball, table tennis, athletics, karate, and shooting, as outlined by Hayat. She emphasized the tournament's significance as an excellent platform for women's clubs to challenge formidable opponents and elevate the preparedness of the national team for upcoming tournaments.
