Kuwait, Pakistan to share expertise in customs field

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: Director General of the General Administration of Customs Yousef Al-Nuwaif discussed on Thursday with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Kuwait Dr. Zafar Iqbal ways to develop cooperation and coordination in customs-related fields. The meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly enhancing the exchange of expertise and information in a manner that contributes to facilitating procedures and supporting the smooth flow of trade between the two countries, the General Administration of Customs said in a statement. The visit comes within the framework of its keenness to expand areas of cooperation with diplomatic missions and develop channels of communication and coordination in a way that serves common interests and strengthens bilateral relations, it added. Deputy Director General of the General Administration of Customs for Ports and Customs Investigation and Search Affairs Saleh Al-Omar and the Pakistani ambassador’s accompanying delegation attended the meeting.
