Kuwait, Pakistan to boost trade, investment ties

Kuwait’s Ministry of Finance Undersecretary Aseel Al-Munaifi , Pakistan Ambassador to Kuwait Dr Zafar Iqbal, Secretary of the Board of Private Investments Jamil Qureshi and other Kuwati offi cials at the meeting.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20: The Ministry of Finance announced that Undersecretary Aseel Al-Munaifiheld a meeting with a technical delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, led by Jamil Qureshi, Secretary of the Board of Private Investments, on Monday. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance, the meeting was aimed at reviewing the bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and Pakistan and discussing strategies to enhance and develop economic and investment collaboration in the mutual interests of both friendly countries. They also discussed mechanisms to elevate the level of joint cooperation in the future with the aim of creating new economic and investment partnership opportunities. The meeting was held as part of preparations for an upcoming visit by a delegation of senior Kuwaiti officials to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Attendees at the meeting included Saad Al-Rashidi, Director of the International Economic Cooperation Department, and Laila Al-Maghribi, Director of the Tax Compliance Department.
