DOHA, Sept 17, (KUNA): Kuwait’s padel teams recorded impressive victories at the 2025 Gulf Padel Championship in Qatar, which features participation from all GCC countries.

In the women’s category, Kuwait defeated Qatar 3-0, while the junior team secured a 3-0 win over Bahrain. The men’s team also dominated Oman with the same 3-0 score line.

The winning women’s squad included Dalal Al-Qannai, Rahab Behbehani, Noor Hasan, Mariam Al-Sarraj, Zainab Sarakhoo, and Sarah Behbehani. The junior team featured Ziyad Tifoni, Yaqoub Zainal, Ali Ma’youf, Suleiman Qabazard, Fahad Al-Husian, and Hashem Al-Mazroui. The men’s lineup comprised Abdulrahman Al-Awadhi, Mohammed Abdul, Hamoud Al-Jandeel, Hussein Shams, Talal Al-Abdullah, and Ahmed Rabie.

The championship is contested across three main categories—men, women, and juniors—highlighting the growing popularity of padel in the region. Matches are played in a league format, with each team competing in three games and needing to win at least two to secure the match.
