KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Kuwait’s full support for the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia over its entire territory. The Ministry also expressed Kuwait’s rejection of the recent announcement concerning mutual recognition between Israel and the self-proclaimed region of Somaliland.
The Ministry described the announcement as a unilateral action that violates international law and reiterated its firm opposition to such an approach, which undermines the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia. It further emphasized Kuwait’s full support for Somalia’s legitimate state institutions.
